The Fudan University Guanghua Young Scholars Forum, concurrently serving as the Shanghai University International Young Scholars Forum, stands as a flagship initiative of Fudan University dedicated to proactively identifying and precisely recruiting top-tier talent. Since its inauguration in 2016, the forum has been attracting a multitude of promising young scholars who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields with remarkable innovation capabilities and immense development potential. The Intelligent Medicine Sub-Forum of the Fudan University Guanghua Young Scholars Forum is set to launch. Scheduled for the first half of January 2026, it will be conducted through a hybrid format of online and offline participation. We extend a global invitation to outstanding talents and welcome them to visit Fudan University in person for academic exchanges and institutional inspections.

1. Aged 38 or under, in principle;
2. Hold a doctoral degree;
3. Possess an active academic mindset and the ability to independently conduct high-level, original academic research. Candidates must commit to full-time work at the university, have achieved influential academic accomplishments in their research fields, and demonstrate excellent potential for future development.
Super Postdoctoral Fellows
1. Aged 35 or under, in principle;
2. Outstanding doctoral candidates who are about to obtain their doctoral degrees, or doctoral degree holders with graduation time of no more than 3 years;
3. Have made prominent scientific research achievements.

The Intelligent Medicine Institute, Fudan University (IMI) is a fully operational, entity-based research institution officially approved in June 2022 under the auspices of Academician Jin Li, President of Fudan University.

Jin Li
Professor, PhD Supervisor, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
President of Fudan University, Dean of Shanghai Medical College, Fudan University, Chair of the Academic Committee of Intelligent Medicine Institute, Fudan University.
Professor Jin focuses on the genetic structure of populations, the origins and migrations of human populations, complex human genetic diseases, and computational biology. In recent years, he has led several key national research projects, including the National Key R&D Program, National Science and Technology Support Key Projects, and Shanghai major municipal science and technology projects.etc. To date, he has published over 800 papers in prominent international academic journals such as Nature, Science, and Cell, with over 44,000 citations. He has twice received the State Natural Science Award (as the first contributor), the Tan Jiazhen Life Science Achievement Award, the Tan Jiazhen Life Science Innovation Award, the HUGO (Human Genome Organization) Excellence in Science Award, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award, the Shanghai Science Elite Award, and several provincial and ministerial-level Science and Technology Progress First Prizes.
Zhu Tongyu

Professor Zhu has extensive clinical and research experience, particularly in AI-assisted kidney transplantation. He has made significant advancements in this field, leading the way both domestically and internationally. His contributions include proposing the concept of an AI-driven full-process system for organ transplantation and achieving notable results in AI-assisted kidney transplantation. He has been recognized as an Outstanding Discipline Leader in Shanghai, a Shanghai Leading Talent, and a recipient of the New Century Talent Program in the city's healthcare system. Zhu has published over 200 academic papers in the fields of surgery, virology, basic medical science, and hospital management. Additionally, he holds several patents, many of which have been successfully commercialized.
Roland Eils

Executive Director of Intelligent Medicine Institute, Fudan University. Founding director of the BIH Digital Health Center and chair at Charité University Medicine Berlin.
Prof. Roland Eils has an extensive track record in AI models in health and in translational genomics. Over the past years he has developed a number of AI models predicting a wide number of disease endpoints. He is recognized as a leading figure in computational omics in cancer and the life sciences in Europe and beyond. He has signed important papers as first or last author in the best journals in medicine and the life sciences including Cell, Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Genetics, Lancet Digital Health, PNAS. He has published more than 750 papers (350 over the past ten years) in peer reviewed journals. They received a total of more than 80,000 citations resulting in an h-index of 120. Gu Jianying

Professor Gu leads her team in utilizing hospital, healthcare, and frontline clinical work as key scenarios to promote the clinical application of new technologies, including "cloud, big data, IoT, AI, and blockchain." Their mission is to offer specialized intelligent medical information services and develop digital healthcare assets, thereby advancing the digitization and intelligent transformation of medical care. Gu has led six national and provincial projects, including key national R&D projects in precision medicine and general grants from the National Natural Science Foundation. She is the lead author of one monograph, co-author of nine, and holds several patents. She has published over 130 articles, including more than 30 SCI-indexed papers, with research featured in leading journals such asNature Communications, Advanced Science, and Molecular Cancer.
Liu Lei

Executive Vice Dean of the Intelligent Medicine Institute, Fudan University, Fellow of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI).
Researcher Liu Lei specializes in medical artificial intelligence, large medical models, biomedical big data integration and mining, biomedical knowledge graphs, and bioinformatics. He has served as the principal investigator on several national-level projects, including the National 863 Program and key national R&D projects. To date, he has published over 120 academic papers, obtained more than 20 software copyrights, and secured over 10 patents. Liu is also the chief editor of the third edition of the national higher education textbook Medical Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for the Health Information Management/Medical Informatics program.
Irina Lehmann
Professor, Doctoral supervisor.
Head of the Molecular Epidemiology Unit at the Berlin Institute of Health at the Charité- University Medicine Berlin.
Prof. Irina Lehmann holds a professorship for Epigenetics and lung research at the Charité Berlin. Irina Lehmann has an outstanding track record in molecular epidemiology, identification of disease mechanisms in respiratory disease and biomarker identification. In strong collaboration with clinical partners her group contributed with unique mechanistic studies exploring disease mechanisms in different respiratory disease including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and COVID-19.
