1. Introduction ofIntelligent Medicine Institute
Intelligent Medicine Institute (IMI) is a new entity established by Fudan University to conduct scientific research. Based on modern medical and natural science theories, the Institute integrates big data and cloud computing, artificial intelligence and other technologies to explore the essence and laws of disease phenomena and explore intelligent treatment methods and clinical applications. The Institute integrates the first-class disciplines of Fudan University, focuses on the cross-border integration of biomedicine and information technology, balances scientific innovation and technical services, enhances data integration and transformation capabilities, promotes big data-driven knowledge discovery and application, leads the development of new medical science, and improves the disciplinary level and capability of medical science. The Institute aims at the forefront of medical disciplines, promotes the cross integration of medicine with arts, science, engineering and law, and is trains interdisciplinary talents. Meanwhile, the Intelligent Medicine Institute will carry out in-depth cooperation with Washington University (St. Louis) and the Texas Medical Center(TMC) at Houston in the direction of biomedical informatics and promote joint training of graduate students.

2. main research
2.1 Health Care Big Data Research:It mainly studies the problems of health and medical data in real-world applications, which mainly includes health big data governance technology and information technology supporting health care data application such as individual digital twin, etc.
2.2 Medical Artificial Intelligence Research:
The main research is on the application of artificial intelligence technology in the medical field. It mainly includes the artificial intelligence analysis and processing of medical images, biomedical knowledge graph, intelligent drug development, etc.
2.3 Life Omics Research:It mainly engaged in multi-omics research in medicine and life science. It mainly includes genome, epigenome, transcriptome, proteome, metabolome, macrogenome, etc.
